Today started off well with the puppies getting a new treat - a liver treat. It was wondered whether they would actually be able to eat them as they are quite hard but the video clip below shows how they got on. Some had their treat and ate it, some tried to lick one out of someone else's mouth and some just lost theirs! However, after this good start to the day, disaster struck! The builders came to put a new door in downstairs and therefore the puppies' free range activities were severely curtailed. Initially the puppies were shut in the run. They were not impressed with this at all! We had to put a pen around the gate to the run as every time we opened the gate, at least one puppy would escape. (click to enlarge photos) However, a bit later relief was offered to the puppies because we came up with the idea to put the metal pens end to end along the garden from the run to the fence and therefore they could at least have the run of the bottom end of the garden. Phoenix was let in to have a romp around with them. See how puppies are starting to work as a team in the video below. Thumper keeps Phoenix's attention while Maximus tries to pull her tail off! Could be a new committee here - the "Pull the Tail Off the Big Dog Committee"! (click to enlarge photos) How many dogs in this photo (left). Thumper (top) and Spartacus take a break!
